Compensation Schedule:
1) Training: Start at $20/hr training & apprenticeship (typically 1+ month), must obtain your pest control license to exit this phase.
2) Probation (6 month period): Raise to $25/hr (only after completion of training AND obtaining provincial exterminator license)
3) Raise to $30/hour + performance bonuses, and eligible for company health benefits plan.

Position Summary:
As a pest control technician (an “exterminator”), your role will include driving to clients’ homes, offices, or commercial locations to perform inspections and pest remediation services. You will also be in charge of filling out the appropriate diagnostic report after each visit. If you like to work with your hands in an active work environment while helping people, this is the job for you.
To thrive as an exterminator you should be someone who enjoys providing exceptional customer service, is empathetic and enjoys helping people, and also is someone who enjoys challenges and problem-solving.
A number of our employees enjoy working 3 or 4 days per week which accommodates their creative professional pursuits (photographers, musicians, writers, filmmakers, etc). However, we are currently prioritizing individuals who can work 4-5 days per week and occasional or regular weekends.

We require applicants to:
Be legally authorized to work in Canada.
Hold a G-class driver’s license and be an experienced, capable and safe driver.
Acquire an exterminator license for structural extermination (study the textbook and pass the Ontario Ministry of the Environment multiple-choice exam). Textbook, exam, and licensing fees will be reimbursed when the license is obtained and you remain fully employed with Addison.
Meet the physical demands of the job including moving and shifting furniture and heavy objects, bending, crouching, wearing a respirator, and occasionally working in confined spaces or at heights. Using leverage and having the strength to safely lift large mattresses and flip couches upside down on one’s own is an essential regular task.
Be willing to commit to at least 1-2+ years of full-time work.
Sign a non-compete and confidentiality contract prior to starting training.
Occasionally be available to work off-hours - occasional evening or late night, weekends, mornings, short-notice emergency service calls, etc.
